For electricians
Answer every enquiry, even when you’re up in a ceiling.
Ernie is an AI assistant on your website. It answers customers’ questions from your own pages, day and night, and texts you the job details when someone wants a quote or a call back.
Answers from your website, even at 9 pm on a Sunday.
Ernie answers only from what your website says, and tells people when it doesn’t know. These are the kinds of questions it handles for electricians.
Do you test smoke alarms for rentals?
Yes. Brightwire does smoke alarm and safety switch checks for landlords and property managers.
Half my power’s gone. Can someone come tonight?
For urgent faults, call Brightwire’s after-hours line on (02) 5550 2471. I can also send them your details now.
Are your electricians licensed?
Yes. Brightwire’s electricians are licensed, and the licence number is on the About us page.
The job details, not a missed call.
When someone wants a quote, a booking or a call back, Ernie asks your questions first, then emails and texts you the answers. You choose what it asks.

Will Ernie give out electrical advice?
Ernie only answers from your website. If someone asks something your website doesn’t cover, like how to fix a fault themselves, it says so and offers to send you their details.
Does Ernie give quotes or book jobs?
No. Ernie answers from your website and takes the details, then you price the job and pick the time when you call back.
Can I choose what Ernie asks?
Yes. You choose the questions Ernie asks before it sends you an enquiry, and whether a phone number or an email is required.
What if Ernie gets something wrong?
Ernie answers only from your website. When your website doesn’t say, Ernie tells the visitor and gives your phone number, email or contact page. It can still get things wrong: in our September testing, 5 of 96 answers had a mistake. The chat tells visitors it can make mistakes, and nothing reaches you until they’ve checked the details and pressed Send. If an answer’s off, fix the page on your website and press Sync now.
Do I need a web developer?
No. If you can paste one line into your website, you can add Ernie. There are step-by-step guides for WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Weebly / Square Online, Webflow and Framer, and one for everything else. Or email the instructions to whoever looks after your website, straight from the app.
